The Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) Designation Course prepares REALTORS® to meet the unique needs of clients aged 50 and older. This designation, recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), helps you guide mature buyers and sellers through some of life’s most important transitions — whether downsizing, relocating, refinancing, or purchasing investment property.

Through this course, you’ll learn to combine empathy, expertise, and practical strategies to deliver professional service to clients as they move through life’s later stages.

Designation Requirements

To earn and maintain your Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation:

1. Maintain active REALTOR® membership in NAR (or an international cooperating association).

2. Successfully complete the SRES® Designation Course.

3. Maintain SRES® Council membership (first year included; $99 annual renewal thereafter).
